DEEP-SEA FISHING.
A CLUB AT WHANGAREi. [BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] WHANGAREI, Wednesday. It was decided last evening to form a deep-sea fishing club in Whangarei. Officers were appointed as follows: Patrons, the chairman of the Harbour Board, Messrs. W. Jones, M.P., and Allen Bell, M.P.; president, Mr. P. B. Gardner; vice-presidents, Messrs. L. Hanlon, H. G. Bishworth, W. H. Millington and S. J. Bishop; committee, Messrs. W. Brophy, W. Lees, senr., G. H. Chissell, W. Cossill, W. Reynolds and the president and secretary; recorder and secretary, Mr. W. M. Fraser; photographer, Mr. G. E. Woolley.
