When Mate Franich and Peter Snnda were driving in a car to the West Coast yesterday afternoon th(> car got too Dea? the edge of the road in a soft place near Babylon and fell over the side down a deep gullv. Sunde was thrown clear but Franich was pinned under a wheel of the car. Sonde released his companion, carried him to the top of tho road and went for assistance to Babylon. Franich had to be carried 4i miles and then brought into the hospital where it was found he had sustained a compound fracture of one leg and considerable bruises to the body. Sunde escaped with bruises and a badlv wrenched knee.
