WINTER SHOW ASSOCIATION.
SCHEME IN WELLINGTON
[by tet.kgraph.~owk correspondent."j WELLINGTON. Thursday. The Wellington City Council, at a meeting this evening, approved of the site at. John Street for tho erection of an exhibition building and tha formation of sports grounds for the Winter Show Association. Legislation is to be sought to give effect to this decision. The Mayor, Mr. C. J. Norwood, said the association would have to find nearly <'60.000 for the erection of tho buildings. It/already had some £6OOO in hand, and tho remainder it was hoped to raise by public subscriptions and debentures.
