WINTER BOWLING.

ELLERSLIE CLUB TOURNEY. RESULTS OF OPENING PLAY. The first day's play in connection with the open tourney conducted by the Ellerslie Bowling Club took place on Saturday, The greens, in spite of showers in the morning, were in good order, the summer green, which was opened especially for the occasion, playing remarkably well. Large entries were received and some keenly contested games resulted. Excellent catering arrangements were made, a jeature which was very favourably commented upon by visiting players.
