When the staff arrived at the office early this morning it was noticed that the guard over the safe keyhole had been prised oft. This was the first indication that anything was amiss. When the safe was opened it was found that its contents had not been tampered with, but further searching showed that £ll in petty cash, which had been secreted the previous evening, had been taken.
