Pevensey, where William the Cote aueror land on English soil, and where Caesar marshalled his men, has yielded a new surprise. Clearing away loose masonry in one of the castle towers, workmen have come across an openings 2ft. square which admits to a dungeon 14ft. wide and 14ft. deep.
