GROUNDLESS FEARS.
SAFETY OF FISHERMEN. BUSILY ENGAGED AT WORK, [BY TELEGRAPH OWN CORRESPONDENT.] NEW PLYMOUTH, 'Thuraday. Two fishermen, Lawrence Fitzpatrick and Reginald Simpson, for whose safety some anxiety wa3 being felt, returned at three o'clock this afternoon. They left New Plymouth on Tuesday to fish off the White Cliffs, about 30 miles northward, and as they had not returned and nothing had been seen of the launch it was thought engine trouble might have been experienced and tha craft blown to sea by the prevailing southerly. A launch sent out to look for them found them busily engaged at the fishing ground. They had sheltered for a time under the leo of the cliffs and had then continued fishing.
