The Gazette announces that the customs duties collected at the several New Zealand ports, during the quarter ended June 30 totalled £1,010,461, which was an increase of £9320 on the corresponding: quarter a year ago. The principal collections in' the' "quarter j«st ended were: Auckland, £562,436; Gisborne, £22,900; Napier, £60,037; New Flymouth, £27,943; Wanganui, £34,244; Wellington, £599,996; Nelson, £11,626; Greymouth, £10,941; Lytfcelton, £272,251; Tirimrc, £27,930 ; Dunedin, £226,819 ; Invercargill,' £39,089 Excise duties collected in the same period totalled £171,637, m decrease of £6981 on the corresponding period last year.
