One hundred and twenty notices of de: fence have been filed in the case of the Hikurangi coalminers, who took pai't in an alleged unlawful strike at Wilson's Collieries. Altogether 149 summonses have been issued.

The date of hearing, which was fixed for to-day, was postponed until September 7. Mr. F. 11. Levien, S.M., will bo on leave' at that time and the case will be heard by' a relieving magistrate from Auckland.
