FOOTBALLERS' LOSSES.
THEFTS FROM CLOTHING.
Thefts from the clothing if football players during the progress of games bay* been frequently reported in Auckland this season. Two more complaints came before the Management Committee of the Auckland Rugby Football Onion Isisf evening. The Grafton Club notified that one of its players had his trousers ransacked at Eden Park on Saturday and was relieved of a wristlet watch, valued at £4 10s, and 5s in silver. Th'e club, expressed the opinion that some adequate grant should be made to the player to compensate him for his loss It was decided to reply that keys for the dressing rooms had been issued:.at the beginning' of the season and the Management Committee, therefore, could accept no responsibility. The second complaint was made through the Referees' Association, that at Ot;ehunga on Saturday players lost money, clothes and a suitcase from the dressing shed on that ground. A copy of the letter will be sent !o the Manukau Rovers Club, asking that a reputable person bo placed in charge of the shed.
