DEVONPORT RATES.

GENERAL REDUCTION MADE.

The Devonport Borough Council last evening decided upon the rates for the year. The general rate was fixed at 2£d, ( compared.with 9 7-8 d last year, the lighting rate at id,, compared with 9-16 d, arid the interest rate at compared with 2gd,- making a total.of.6d on the unimproved value, compared with 6 3-16 d last year.
