FIRE IN SYDNEY.
PRINTER'S PREMISES ABLAZE. HARD TASK. FOR BRIGADE. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Reed. 11.35 n.m.) SYDNEY. Aug. 24. A serious fire broke out in the early hours of this morning in a building in Kent Street, Sydney. The outbreak had apparently commenced in the premises of Cunningham and Company, printers. The winding stairs, in the building and the density of the smoke hindered the firemen in their work. l,n addition to Cunningham Co. several other firms occupied the building, which was seriously damaged. The loss is estimated at several thousand pounds'.
