THE AUCKLAND HOSPITAL.
HONORARY MEDICAL STAFF. DR. S. C. ALLEN'S RESIGNATION. A number of appointments to the resident and honorary medical staffs of the Auckland Hospital were made by the board last evening. Dr. S. L. Ludbrook, until recently assistant medical superintendant of the hospital, was made an honorary physician. Dr. J. A. W. Robertou was made an honorary anaesthetist. Dr.. R. E. Beyan-Brown, at present assistant to the professor of pathology at the medical school in Dunedin, was appointed assistant in the pathological department. Dr. Sydney Allen, who leaves shortly for New Plymouth, resigned his appointment as honorary surgeon at the hospital and Dr. Frank Macky, at present assistant honorary • surgeon; was elected to fill the vacancy. The board placed oti record its appreciation of the services rendered to the hospital by Dr. Allen. Br." William 0. McCaw, of the honorary staff, was granted leave of absence until November.
