BUTCHER BLUE.
Phillida writes in the Daily Mirror: Butcher blue has suddenly become a smart colour, especially when' it is worn in conjunction with a paler blue. Washing | frocks and jumper-suits made of butcher j blue shantung have tiny scapular scarves | edged with Chinese red and very short 1 box-pleated skirts. A single vivid rubber' rose is drawn through the buttonhole. From being a dowdy colour, blue has become so smart that its head is almost turned. We go to our teas and race meetings in frocks of butcher blue silk and blue linen tailor-mades.
