A DEAF JURYMAN.

ASTOUNDING ADMISSION. An astounding admission was made in the Circuit Court at Maryborough, Queensrecently by a juryman, who asked to be excused because of deafness, from which, he said, he had suffered for seven years. "But you have served on recent juries, including one here last July," said Mr. Justice Brennaii. "Did you not'hear then ?" The juryman replied: "Well, Your Hotor, what helped me was I had read all the case from the newspapers."
