The send-off was a rousing one and was enlivened by salvos of cheers and by the spirited Maori hakas of the players. Streamers, bouquets and quaint mascots were also in evidence. The team will travel via Canada and expects to arrive in England on September 14. Three test matches will be played and in these New Zealand will have the honours won in the Dominion in. 1923 to defend. The tour will last about. eight months.'
