TOWN HALL ORGAN.
Sir, —In March last one of your correspondents, "B Sharp," under the above heading wrote commenting on and lament-, ing the fact that advantage had not been taken of the presence in Auckland of wellknown organists to invite them to give recitals on the Town Hall organ, and particular mention was made of Mr. Bernard Page and of Dr. T. Haigh—examiner for the Royal Academy of Music —one of the foremost organists ih the Old Country. I noticed in your paper a few days ago a paragraph stating that Dr. Haigh would arrive here again on Thursday next, and my object* in writing is to suggest to the proper authorities that he be invited to give a recital on the fine instrument in the Town Hall, of which the citizens are so justly proud. This suggestion is in no way intended as a reflection on Mr. Maughan Barnett or Mr, Randall, his efficient deputy, who by their performances have given pleasure to thousands of Aucklanders. • SrES.
