ASSOCIATION FOOTBALL.
INTERNATIONAL DISPUTE. AUSTRIA AND ITALY. Auckland is not alone in its association football dispute. In Europe various soccer bodies are exceptionally antagonistic. Austria and Italy being the disturbed centres. During the past couple of years the associations of these two coimtries have been at daggers drawn. The Austrian people resented Mussolini's attitude toward Austria, and so the Austrian Association refused to participate in an international football confress that was to be held in Rome. The talians then turned round and broke off relations with the Austrian Association until such time as satisfaction has been solemnly offered for the ' insult suffered by the Italian Association and nation.
