[By TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] FUKEKOHE, Monday. The vexed question of granting a clearance to the Massey brothers, of Puni, was again before the South Auckland Rugby Union this afternoon, J.. B. and J. N. Massey, jun., applying for a clearance to the Auckland University Club. The Waiuku subunion, in whose district the players reside, refused to agree to a clearance and the FrankliS sub-union's delegates supported this attitude. After a lengthy ' discussion the clearance was granted on the casting vote of the president, Mr. J. Dean. The Waiuku Union forwarded a protest by the AVaipipi Club against the Waiuku Club for playing a man whom it was contended had not been reinstated . since playing League. Correspondence submitted showed that reinstatement had been granted on the morning of the match and therefore the protest was ineffective. It was decided to ask all the sub-unions to complete the registration of their boundaries, it being pointed'out that the question of boundaries between South Auckland and the adjoining unions depended on this. Arrangements were made to enter a South Auckland team for the primary 3chool boys' representative competition at Auckland. RESULTS AT THAMES. [BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] THAMES, Monday.
