MOUNT ROSKILL AFFAIRS.
ROAD BOARD'S DECISIONS. The Mount Roskill Road Board met last evening, the chairman, Mr. J. J. Preston, presiding.
Mrs. A. N. Puckey again requested the board to metal the 33ft. strip of land between Windsor Road and White Swan Road. The request was declined.
The chairman said the electric light fit the corner of Rugby Road and Mount Albert Road had been out for three weeks, The Power Board will be askerl to take the light off their charge sheet unless it is illuminated.
Plans for the subdivision of Wesleyan Trust land fronting Mount Albert Roarl were approved. Tho roading specifications were held over, pending consultation iii regard to alterations suggested. Mr. 3. I>. Whitrnore, engineer to the board, was deputed to confer with the city engineer and the engineer to the One Tree Hill Road Board with regard to construction of a pub! 13 convenience at Greenwood's Corner.
The engineer reported that all the street name-boards that required repainting and lettering had been sent to the fiigrtwriter. The building inspector reported that during the past fortnight ho had issued permits for seven dwellings, two ahops and various small structures, the total estimated value being £9055. There were 42 dwellings in course of erection. The board reduced tin water rate for each consumer to 4s a year.
