MINE MANAGERS' REPORTS.

New Waiotahi.—The drive hillward on the Waiotahi-Cambria reef has been advanced Bft for tho week, making the total distance from the crosscut of _ 124 ft. A' strong body of quartz ha 3 come in from tho left hand side and is making across the face at a long angle. It is carrying bands of black solid iron pyrites and ie probably the hanging wall portion of the reef. The portion of the reel the drive has been following continues to carry a fair amount of silver sulphides and bright mineral. The winze sunk between the main reef and the footwall leader has been sunk sft. for the week, making the total depth 16ft. This leaves a further 9ft. to reach the point where it is proposed to open out the drive under the site where gold waa got in the leader when driving the main level at a distance of about 15ft. from the winze. . Albumia.—The hanging-wall portion of tne Orlando reef has been extended a further 16ft. The leader is reduced in size and is now showing a width of 9in. In the ore broken a few colours of gold have been seen. The ore is heavily mineralised and the country rock encasing the reef is of a fair description, but at present is not carrying ■ the same amount of mineral seams as last week. The Orlando level has been picked up and retimbered for a further 20ft., leaving a" distance of 50ft. to reach the collar of the rise. Moanataiari,— I The east crosscut has been advanced Bft., making a total for the contract of 270 ft The country has been very firm but of a good description. The last holes bored showed a change of country, which is now much milder. The course of the drive has been altered slightly to the south-west.
