LATE MR. JAMES CHAMBERS.
DISABLED SOLDIERS BENEFIT.
[by telegraph.—own correspondent.] GISBOKNEn Monday. Under the will of the late Mr. James Chambers, of Patutahi, Gisborne, £IOO is bequeathed to the Cook Hospital, Gisborne. After providing for legacies to relatives, one-half of the residue of the estate is to go to Dr. Barnado's Home, in England. The other half is to be used in the relief of returned soldiers in the North Island who were rendered blind or disabled in the late war. It, is estimated that the residue of the estate will amount to approximately £I6OO.
