BAG STOLEN AND PAWNED.
OFFENDER SENT TO PRISON. [BY TELEGRArH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] Hamilton, Friday. A sentence of 14 days' imprisonment iras imposed on John Irwin McKinley, Iged 36 years, in the Hamilton Magistrate's Court this morning for stealing I leather bag and its contents, valued at C 6, the property of Charles Robinson. Evidence was given that Robinson left Hip bag in the waiting room of the Frankion station on July 8. When he returned t few hours later the bag had gone. It (i-as later located in a pawnshop. a pawnbroker stated that accused pawned the bag. The police stated that ihe contents were found in accused's poslession. Accused's explanation was that he had Sought the bag from another man, whose lame he did not know
