HAND CAUGHT IN WINCH.
WORKER LOSES TWO FINGERS [BY TELEGRAPH. OWN CORRESPONDENT.] WHANGAREI. Wednesday. An employee at the Taipuha sawmill. Edgar Robert Leighton, caught, his right hand in a gear-hauiing winch this morn ing, receiving severe laceration. He was brought. to the Whangarei Hospital, where two fingers were amputated.
