DAYLIGHT SAVING.

Sir, —There has probably never a reform been introduced that lias exactly suited the ideas of every section of the community. The justice of an innovation can only be judged by balancing the good that will accrue against any hardships that may result. So far as Daylight Saving is concerned, "Herd Tester," himself, on the strength of lengthy farm experience in the Waikato, admits that only those farmers with large herds and somo distance from the factory will be prejudicially affected. It should not be difficult in such cases to extend the factorv receiving hours. In any event these iso'lated instances should hardly bar a measure that will be productive of good to an overwhelming portion of the population. A. E.G.
