CHARGE OF DESERTION.
SEAMAN ON A WARSHIP. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] CHRISTCHURCH, Wednesday. A seaman on H.M.S. Delhi, William Wesley Bryant, aged 20, whose birthplace was given as South Africa, and who had no fixed abode, was charged in the Police Court to-day with deserting his ship at Lyttelton. In order that the police could get into communication with the ship accused was remanded until July 28.
