COMMUNITY SINGING.
Another large attendance patronised the weekly community singing at the Town Hall yesterday. Mr. J. D. Morison, Mayor of Takapuna, occupied the chair and Mr. Abel Rowe performed the duties of song-leader. Several sweet Maori airs were introduced and the gathering joined heartily in singing " E Pari Ra," a haunting melody set to music by Mr. Rowe, A solo was rendered by Miss Laura Stone accompanied by Mr. J. Button. Mrs. Barrington Snow acted as accompaniste. A collection in aid of nonendowed city charities was made.
