ROYAL SHOW DATES.
COMPLAINT FROM WAIRARAPA [BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION.] HASTERTON, Wednesday. The existing dates of the Royal Show have been the cause of frequent protests from the Wairarapa Pastoral and Agricultural Society, which contends that the Royal Show interferes with. entries for the Wairarapa fixture, as breeders are inclined to hold back the best of their stock for the higher honours available at the Royal Show. The Wairarapa Society recently suggested that the Royal Show should be held at the end of the spring shows, to serve as champion of champions fixture. Dissatisfied with treatment it has received from the Royal Society, the Wairarapa Society is considering withdrawal of its membership.
