EXPORT OF APPLES.
VALUE OF ADVERTISING. ENTERPRISE OF AUSTRALIA. [by telegraph.—own correspondent.] NELSON, Wednesday. Bishop Sadlier returned to. Nelson today after a nine months' visit to England and France. Th£ bishop went to England at the invitation of the Colonial and Continental Church Society, and he lectured on its behalf from the beginning of October to the end of April, addressing 158 meetings in that period, from Newcastle to Torquay. Speaking- of the apple market, commant was made on the fact that Australian apples were better advertised than New Zealand apples. The moment an Australian shipment reached England it was advertised all over the country, but he failed to notice the same thing in regard to New Zealand's crop. On one occasion he noticed a huge streamer across the Strand, bearing the words, "Australian apples have arrivea."
