SPLENDID RESPONSE. RAPID SUBSCRIPTION OF CAPITAL. CHECKER ,TAXI-CAB COMPANY. The general public quickly recognised the opportunities offered for good, sound nvestment by the Checker Taxi-cab Company Ltd., in its prospectus printed in Saturday's" issue of the Herald. The brokers report that the response has been exceptional, and the rapid subscription of the capital is claimed to be almost a record. The directors are particularly desirous of placing the shares in the hands of. the largest possible number of small subscribers, and in consequence every consideration will be given to applications •for small parcels of shares. The service maintained by the company in the past is recognised by all residents, and when the opportunity came along for investment in a concern "so well established and so highly spoken of by everyone, the public recognised that the opening was too good to be missed and acted accordingly. The company is so sure of its position to earn profits with an extended fleet that the figures, covering the operations of the private company, can be inspected by any investor who wishes. There are still a few shares to be purchased, but early application is necessary to participate in the allotment, an opportunity such as that offered by the Checker Taxi-cab Company is not often given and it cannot fail to*, nttract the best of investors.— Advt.
