THE AMBASSADORS.
A HOSTEL TRIUMFH. The Ambassadors Hotel, in Quay Street, is a triumph in hostelry equipment. The public have quickly recognised the worth of the hostel and every day brings new patrons, who depart more than satisfied with the treatment received and the appointments, which are luxurious throughout. Facing the Waitemata Harbour, guests can, from their windows, look out on one of tho most charming views to be obtained in New Zealand. The railway station is only a few yards away and its proximity will be a boon to the travelling public. The furnishings of the dining room are all in exquisite taste and combine to make an attractive room, which shows that it has been arrangod by an expert and connoisseur. One of the triumphs of the building was the forethought employed when the kitchen was laid out. All the cooking is done by gas and this ensures a cuisine of unsurpassed quality. The main lounge is rich in colour and style and abounds in happy, and striking thoughts, Visitors will find artistically furnished lounges on every floor, all of which present a quiet dignity which is restful in the extreme. The plaques (purchased at Wembley Exhibition), mirrors and paintings, together with the electric lighting system, all harmonise in a remarkable manner, adding a distinctive tone to the establishment. The toilets and bathrooms, which are numerous, are all tiled, and nothing better can be found in the city. The private main entrance leads to a spacious hall, the rosewood and bevelled glass doors being well placed. The Ambassadors is, already 'ustly famed for its splendid appointments, and every credit is due Mr. E. M. Page, who made all the arrangements for fur nishing and fitting the establishment.(Advt.)
