A BRITISH FILM.
Sir, —A delightfully rendered English production of one of Charles Dickens' sweetest stories is to be seen at the Majestic , Theatre. Yet on the opening night, it was about a 60 per cent, house. Where now are those people who so frequently lament the too constant appearance of the American film, with its sex appeal, its melodrama and its " eternal triangle," etc., etc.. It would seem that after all there is not much encouragement for Mr. Henry Hayward when he makes an attempt to please, shall I say the cognoscenti. Horace E. Hereing 9, Dilworth Avenue, Remuera.
