DECREASE IN REVENUE. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT. ] RAETIHI, Saturday. The annual meeting of the Waimarino Agricultural and Pastoral Association was held yesterday, Mr. A. 13. Harris presiding. The report disclosed a successful year although the returns from the show held in February were affected by heavy rain. The balance-sheet was adopted. The retiring president, Mr. T. E. Maclean, said that a good deal of expense had been incurred by way of improvements. A stock-drive held during the year had not been quite so successful as he would have liked to have seen it. He considered the association had done exceedingly well and he congratulated the members of the committee on their work. He suggested that one man be appointed to look after the showground instead of the committee undertaking the work. Mr. Maclean thanked the officers for the loyal support they had given him during his term of office. The following officers were appointed for the ensuing year President, Mr. A, B. Harris; vice-presidents, Messrs. W. D, Bell, D. D. Mnclean and F. McNie; treasurer, Mr. J. Johnston; committee, Messrs. F. E. Mann, H. Jenkins, J. Handley, T. E. Maclean, E. R. Beckett, G. McNamara, C. B. Solly, D. Scarrow, A- McLeod, J. R. Hunter, A. Bott, J. Winks, M. Geraghty, V. Houghton, W. Harris, R. Fissenden, L. J. Vile, A. Scarrow, F. M. Bradley, A. E. Volkerling; grounds executive, Mr. T. E. Maclean; executive committee, Messrs. H. Jenkins, J. Johnston, D. D. Maclean, D. Scarow and W. Harris. A recommendation was made to the incoming committee that it consider the question of improving bad portions of the showground by way of levelling, topdressing, etc.
