MOTOR BATTERY STOLEN.
SALESMAN SENT TO PRISON. [BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON. Sunday. The theft of a motor-car battery valued at £4 was admitted by a motor salesman, James Morton McGill, in the Magistrate's Court yesterday. He also admitted a breach of his probationary license. McGill was sentenced to six months' imprisonment on the first charge and to three months' imprisonment on the second, the terms to be concurrent.
