Notice is hereby given that by a Warrant dated the 21st day of June, 1926, under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-Gen-eral, of the Dominion of New Zealand, made in pursuance _ and exercise of the powers vested in hint by Section 119 of "The Public Works Act, 1908." the Takapuna Borough Council was thereby authorised to construct a bridge in the North Auckland Land District, Borough of Takapuna, over tho Wairau Estuary, near Inga Koad (together with approaches thereto), the site of such bridge and approaches being more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 64528. deposited in the Office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, within the period of 12 months from the date of the Warrant, but this lime may bo extended by the Minister of Public Works if he is of opinion that the construction of the work has been delayed by circumstances beyond the control of the Borough Council. Seventy-five per centum of the cost of the work shall be borne by the Waitemata County Council, and 25 per centum thereof by the Takapuna Borough Council, but the excess (if any) of the total cost of the work over the sum of six thousand eight hundred pounda (£6800) shall be borne by tne Takapuna Borough Council, but all moneys payable in respect of damages or for loss of riparian rights in respect of lands within the Waitemata County or the Takapuna Borough shall be borne wholly by the local authority within whose district the lands in respect of which the money is payable is situate. The contribution required to be made by the Waitemata County Council shall be paid from time to time out of its funds in the proportion hereinbefore mentioned within the period of one month after demand in writing by the Takapuna Borough Council, to the Town Clerk of the Takapuna Borough Council.
