LEAGUE TRIAL MATCHES.
THE TEAM FOR ENGLAND. FINAL GAMES THIS AFTERNOON. The final games in connection with the selection of the League All Blacks will be ployed at Carlaw Park this afternoon, commencing at 1.15. Excitement is at fever heat regarding the selection of the 26 players. All the aspirants have undergone a thorough preparation and are physically fit to come through the most strenuous gam". An exhaustive search for the "very hest talent available has been carried out by the selectors. The team will be chosen after the matches. Two games will he played, an A and B match being followed by the Possibles v. Probables game at 2.45. Teams are as follow: PROBABLES. Fullback: Dufty (Auckland). Threequarters: Sanders (Canterbury), Desmond (Wellington), Littlewood (Auckland). Five-eighths: Kirwin (Auckland), Webb (Auckland). Half: Wilson-Hall (Canterbury). forwards: Vivian (Canterbury), Carroll (Wellington), Herring (Auckland), Mason (Canterbury). Singe. (Auckland), Avery (Auckland), captain. POSSIBLES. Fullback: Gregory (Auckland). Threequarters: Hickey (Otago), Davidson (Auckland), J. Parkes (Auckland). Five c cighths: Brisbane (Auckland), Riley (Auckland). Half: Delgrosso (Auckland). forwards: Menzies (South AucklandV. Tallentire (West Coast), O'Brien (North Shore, Auckland), Thomas (Otago). Devine (South Canterbury), Mouat (West Coast), captain. A TEAM. Fullback. Ravnor; threequarters, Mansell, Wilson, junr., L. Scott; five-eights, Vorrath, Lewis; half, Cleaver; forwards, O'Brien (Marist), Hutt, Avery, Payne, Clarke, Bass, captain. B TEAM. Fullback, Hanlon, threequarters, Wade, Gardner, List; five-eighths, Prentice, Eckhoff; half, Ghent; forwards, Thomas, Townsend, Gieson, Stormont, Douglas Dixon. Poison will not, be able to play in today's curtain-raisei and Ghent will replace him behind the B team scrum. The forwards Carroll, Mackie and Cooke (Ellerslie), and the backs, Herewini, Hargreaves, Usher and Little (Newton), have been chosen as reserves. The visiting players were entertained at the Opera House last evening.
