TO-DAY'S WEATHER.
HERALD'S SPECIAL FORECAST. The following weather forecast for 24 hours from 7 a.m. to-day was supplied to us by Mr. H. M. Vincent last evening:— Unsettled weather is indicated, with cold, showery conditions prevailing, followed shortly by a renewal of fine weather. Southerjy to south-easterly winds, strong to gale. Seas rough. The centre of the cyclonic disturbance is located south-east-ward oi Norfolk Island, and is passing away from the Dominion. Heavy seas are in evidence northward of Cape Maria. Barometer, midnight, 30.15 in.; rising. GOVERNMENT REPORT. The Government meteorologist reported last evening as follows: —Present indications are for strong south-westerly to south-easterly winds, squally for a time on the east coast of the South Island; weather cold and changeable, with passing showers.
