VETERAN LEAGUE PLAYER.
TWENTY YEARS OF FOOTBALL. It is a safe guess that few of those who watched Richmond play at Carl aw Park on "Saturday realised that G. Crowther, one of the team's hard-working forwards, is probably the oldest player in the League code. Crowther has the distinction of having played senior grade football continuously since 1905. He has represented many provinces at both Rugby and League, and has represented New Zealand as a Maori League player. In spite of his long career, Crowther was always in the van of the forwards against Ponsonby, and played well.
