WANGANUI IN DIFFICULTY.
COURT AGREES TO SALE. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] WANGANUI, Friday. When an application was presented to Mr. Justice Alpors for consent oi the Supreme Court to sell the Returned Soldiers' Club, Mr. F. K. : Turnbullj iu support, pointed out that the membership of the club had been gradually depleted, largely through the returned men accepting" family tic and joining other clubs. His Honor said the Christchurch Returned Soldiers' Club, erected at a cost of £17,000. was ono of the best-attended clubs in New Zealand, and had at least a further ten years' life. Consent was given to the terms of the sale.
