WAIKATO'S GREAT EVENT. ENTRIES CLOSE MAY 17. The Waikato Winter Show, declared by authorities to be tho most important exliibition of dairy-factory produce in the world, is of national importance; and it typifies in a striking manner the phenomenal progress of the dairy industry of tho Dominion. Boing held at tho centre of the scene of the most remarkable expansion of scientific dairying in tho Empire, the Waikato Winter Show has special facilities for functioning effectively. It has played a big part in bringing the dairying industry of the Auckland Province to its present outstanding pre-eminence. As an attraction for the farmer tho big show is unique, and this year's display promises to be tho most educative that has yofc been staged. Apart from farm and factory demonstration and enlightenment, the meeting is developing into a show fair and carnival combined. Everything that makes for the advancement, of the country is catered for and excellent entertainment is provided for the thousands who visit, it. The display of farm and dairy machinery is an exhibition in itself, and this year some attractions are being planned that should enable the great show to leave all other Winter Shows far behind. Altogether the 1926 carnival promises to be in every way a record-breaking event. This year, to encourage children from outside Hamilton to attend tho Farmers' Auctioneering Company have arranged to provide a cup of tea and a bun to every child travelling by the special school excursion trains to Hamilton during ' show week.—Advfc.
