SOMETHING FOR NOTHING.
A FREE GIFT. It seems ttoo good to bo true that one may receive something for nothing in those hard times \ but a little advortismg scheme of Messrs. Falkner and Company certainly seems to provide something for nothing. Owing to (he demolition of their old premises at 282, Queen Street, Messrs. Falkner and Co. have been compelled to move. They have, however, secured much larger and better premises a little further up Queen Street in the Tonson, Garlick Building. In order to encourage early inspection of their new premises the firm have given a free gift of a pretty handkerchief to every purchaser during this week. Even whore .the purchase only amounted to 3d, the purchaser, to his or her surprise, received a pretty lace handkerchief entirely free. "Gift "Week" has been so much appreciated that Messrs. Falkner and Co. have decided to continue the plan for another week. Not only do customers receive a free sift, but nearly all umbrellas and most fines of hosiery are being sold at specially reduced prices during "Gift Week." The object, of course, is to encourage their customers to quickly find the new address at the Tonson, Garlick Building, 308, Queen Street. If you have not received one of tho pretty gifts call at Messrs. Falkner's without delay.—Advt.
