OBITUARY.

admiral w. b. fisher. a. and N.Z. LONDON. May 9. The death is announced of Admiral William Blake Fisher.

Born in 1853 Admiral Fisher entered the navy at the age of 13 and gained the rank of captain in 1396. He was senior officer commanding the Dclagba Bay blockading squadron and commandant of the Base Jubaland Expedition in 1901. He was decorated for his services during the campaign in South Africa. He was promoted to commodore in 1995 and became a rear-admiral a year later. He was second in command of the Atlantic Fleet in* 1908, and was raised to the rank of vice-admiral in 1911. Admiral F:shei' retired in 1914. The following year he commf aided H.M. yacht- Medusa. MR. STEPHEN PAGET. A. and N.Z. LONDON. May 9. The death has occurred of Mr. Stephen Paget, surgeon. - ' Mr. Paget was the fourth son 01. Sir J. Paget and was born in 1855. Ho wasconsulting aural surgeon, Middlesex.
