The St. John Ambulance station which serves the Auckland wharves has to deal with many cases of injured fingers among the wharf workers who handle timber and other rough materials. It is found that the most careful bandaging will work loose unless covered, and the association appeals to the public to send them old or disused gloves. These will be received at the ambulance station in Rutland Street. Ladies' all wool cashmere hose (slightly imparfect.) in nude, fawn, grey, brown, mole, b'ige, selling at 2s 6d pair at th« A.B.C.
