THEFT BY BOYS.
BIG BROTHER MOVEMENT. FAITH OF MAGISTRATE. Faith in the power of the Big Brother movement to keep young boys out of mischief was expressed yesterday by Mr. E. C. Cutten, S.M., by his action in dealing leniently with thrCe boys who came before the special Children's Court.
The boys, the eldest of whom was only twelve years of age, were charged with breaking and entering the shop of F. R. Hutchinson and stealing bicycles, while it was said of one of them that lie had been tampering with slot machines and gas meters. The stolen property was recovered by the police. After warning the boys (hat they would not get another chance, tho magistrate said they must attend school regularly, and he wanted to see them brought under the influence of the Big Brother movement. Tho parents were ordered to pay 10s costs in respe.ct of each boy.
