local preferences fixed. A. and N.Z. SYDNEY. April IS. The State Tromier, Mr. J. T. Lang, announces that in respect of Government orders a preference of 30 per cent, will be given to locally-manufactured articles over imported goods. In respect of British goods a preference of 20 per cent, will be given to local manufactures. These preferences will be inclusive of the Commonwealth tariff duties and preferences already in existence.
