OTAHUHU VALUATIONS.
GREAT INCREASES MADE
The new Government valuations of the Borough of Otahuhu have been completed and owners of property are in a position to realise fully the advance the borough has made since the last Valuation was made in 1914. It is apparent that the greatest increase is on the properties which are situated at the Mangere end of the borough and in an area that is not yet, touched by a concrete road or footpath. Between the Middletnore Store, to the Mangere Crossing, the increase has been in one instance 135 per cent., and in two properties adjoining 100 per cent. The whole of 'Golf Avenue has increased 100 per cent., while Mangere Road has increased on an average 95 per cent. The latter road is formed in concrete.
The. northern portion of the borough is more lightly treated, and increases are between 35 and 60 per cent. This increase is also followed in the eastern portion. In the western area, including Station Road, an increase of 65 per cent, is the average.
