WINTER EXHIBITION DISPLAY

A suggestion to establish a court at the Auckland Winter Show was well received by the School of Mines council. In addition to a display of Thames minerals it was hoped there would be exhibitions of fruit, a model of the new harbour and a display from Messrs. A. and G. Prices' foundry, Tho president of the council and director of the school were appointed to represent the school on a committee of business people to be appointed and the director, Mr. Hugh Crawford, was appointed secretary pro tern. It, was reported that a satisfactory response had been received to an appeal for funds to pay tho salary of an assist-ant-director. April 28 was fixed as tho date of tho annual meeting.
