WAIHI COMPANY'S REPORT. (by telegraph.—own correspondent.] WAIHI. Friday. The following information has been cabled bv the Waihi Gold Mining Company to its head office, Txjndon:—"No. 5 level, Martha lode, north branch: Driving east, the next 19ft. assays 25s 3d per ton. Tile lode is about 2ffc. wide. No. 6 level, No. 2 reef: Driving east the next 22ft, assays 51s 3d per ton. The lode is about 18in. wide. No. 11 level, centre section of Empire lode: In a crosscut at 55ft. east of Pistol crosscut, and measuring from the north wall, the first 9ft. assays 6s 6d per ton. next 10ft. 59s 3d per ton," and the lust 26ft. 5s 3d per ton. No. '■ 14 level, Edward lode: In the crosscut at I 163 ft. south the last sft. assays Is 3d per ! ton. Have recommenced driving south and the next 18ft. assays 25s per ton. ! Martha lode, east of No. 4 shaft crosscut: j The next lift, assays lis per ton. No. 2 I shaft will be completed to No. 14 level within the next few days."
