CALLERS IN THE GARDEN.
How many callers from dawn till eve Drop into Polly's garden, And never stop to say, " % your leave," Or whisper, " I beg your pardon! " A swallow-tail butterfly came to-day; Then two honey-bees together, Who hummed and hawed and had much to say About the wind and the weather. The robins called at the snowball bush With many a gay little chuckle; Then a pretty humming'bird flies with a rush From tho fragrant honey-suckle. So all day long they came and went, Flying, fluttering, crawling, And last of all, when the day was spent, Tho slow old toads came calling.
