When the heat broke the windows the draught made the flames spread rapidly. The building is owned by Messrs. J. Wiseman and Sons, Ltd., and was insured for the sum of £.IOOO with the General Accident and Fire Assurance Office. The ground floor, consisting of two shops fronting Albert Street, was occupied by the Albert Tyre Service, and the upper floor by Myons and Ray, tailors. GOOD SAVE AT CHRIST CHURCH.
